NOTICE: If you're looking for my DragonBall pictures, then, much like Dave, they're not here. I haven't deleted them, but I have hidden them. Out of SPITE. I'm sure I'll unhide them some time, but until then, you can still find them on my personal site.

OK. People are still asking me why I hid my DragonBall pictures. I thought it would've been clear by now why I did it that you wouldn't have to ask, but maybe those people haven't really been reading my journals or commentaries, or haven't been watching me long enough to pick up on it.

For the last time; I'm SICK of almost everyone (I'm careful to say "almost", because I do acknowledge and appreciate the small group that gives equal attention to non-DragonBall stuff I do) loving those DragonBall pictures, then ignoring everything else I do. Virtually all the messages I would get would be for my DragonBall stuff, and nothing else I did really mattered.

It's been going on for well over a year, and I've had more than enough. It's very frustrating and very discouraging to see one category I work in get all this attention, then everything else get practically nothing. I'm borderlining against doing ANY fanart; is it my work that people like, or the characters I'm using that people like? My gut tells me it's the latter in most cases. I'd rather be known for nothing than only known for what kind of fanart I do, with everything else I do going unnoticed.

I've already touched on this several times before, so unless you've missed those times, you shouldn't have to ask me why I'm doing this. I'm not explaining it anymore. I already have, so don't ask.

If you really wanna see the pictures, I HAVE already provided a link back to my personal site that still has all my DragonBall pictures (and many that I never even posted here). I never took it away completely. I just don't wanna see it here, where it becomes painfully evident how much it completely overshadows everything else I put my time and hard work into.

I have nothing against the Dragonball series itself; my hiding the pictures is only because of what I mentioned above. I still love the series as much as I ever did.

Um...I've never had this before. A friend on deviantART has passed away.

I don't really know what to say. But it's horrible that this happened. Marina was in a car accident, and passed away a few days later.

She was one of the first people to watch me. She continued to be very supportive and encouraging for all this time.

Marina was very kind and very dedicated to art, always trying many new things and looking for challenges. Her work was always beautiful. If you haven't visited her page, please do so. It was meant to be shared with everyone.

Marina Gorescu will be missed.

Mmmm... pi... :chomp:

Although I have to admit that it was a Dragon Ball pic that first led me to your work - after all, you don't see that much Tien fanart - but I love your style itself more than your fanarts. :XD: So just keep drawing whatever makes you happy and tell everyone who keeps pestering you to draw more Dragon Ball stuff to BUGGER OFF!

*sigh* It's the original VS established conflict...Hopefully everyone will realize that there's more to art than DBZ.

Wow, I hope all goes good with this. I have seen this happen with MANY artists who stop doing DBZ artwork and then, the people complain about it.

I understand that it's frustrating, and hate to see you upset. :(

I'm actually doing that right now, I have stop with the DBZ stuff and started working on other stuff. Not like I got much comments, but I notice not a lot of people even look, so

I hope you get the gratitude you deserve though, because artist like you are hard to find!

And I haven’t been much up to date on this stuff, so, excuse me that I randomly popped out of no where….:D

 :glomp:
I've recently been going through a little crisis of faith (in my own work) in that I feel some of my work is a lot better than others but it may feature obscure characters, but some of my more popular works which feature mainstream characters or more adult themes kinda get all the attention.

I dunno, I know I have a long way to go as an artist but I know that if I draw an awesome picture of an obscure character like Roger Ramjet and a mediocre picture of Raven (Teen Titans) I know exactly which picture will get a magnitude more views and faves without even thinking about it.

I thought that I should maybe open a separate gallery for more serious work but then I realized that these kinds of things are both sides of me. At least when someone comes looking for Daphne or Jasmine they might take a peek at the rest of my gallery and find something else they like...

I don't do requests.
I hear you. I've already been doing more of my own original art and posting it in my gallery. Can't say I blame you. You've got to draw what you want to.

For what it's worth I've always hated your Dragonball pictures :D Not because of the art, but because I hate Dragonball

THAS RIGHT, YOU TELL EM! KICK THEIR ASS TO THE CURB!

LOL, but maybe you can expand on your crusade by not interacting with anything Dragonball for a while...that means stop playing DBZBT3 for a while, cause when they see you still have stuff to do with DBZ, they'll still think you're gonna do more pics and they'll keep bugging...or at least keep playing, but don't tell them.

Do a lot more original characters in your own unique style and hopefully, they will learn: YOUR NAME IS LEO-TAKU, NOT REALISTIC DBZ GUY!

Hm...on an Ironic note, I need to do more DBZ art ^^; but I think I will lay off until the movie comes, I have to show people that I can do more then fan art too. :D

I am Gokulio..hehehe...I need Dragonballs for Bunghole..ehhheeh
There's some really nice original stuff from you sitting in my watch list - I haven't commented yet because I wanted to make worthwhile comments and I'm mentally spent right now.
You'll get some :blahblah: though.... :evillaugh:

Your DB pictures are great because they're a very original take on the same old fanarts, btw, and people like what's familiar with just a little interest added. they're fun and enjoyable, but I think your original stuff is more interesting.
